FAQ

If you bought the plug-in a few years ago, then it can be that you don't have an account and need to register on our web page before you can log in and download the serial keys:
https://tal-software.com/login

You can register the plug-in on up to 4 systems at the same time. Our portal tracks the number of activations and they show up in your user account.
You can delete registered computers / activations in your user account.

Offline activation is also possible. Choose Register Offline Device... from your user account and paste the offline Device ID from the plugins registration dialog on the computer where you want to register the plug-in. After that, you can download a special offline registration serial key. Paste it like the normal key to activate the product.
Our products validate the computer registration from time to time.

You can download the serial key from your user account. Please follow the steps here if you still own an old serial key.
If you bought the plug-in from a distributor, then activate the product here to get the product serial key.

Please use the following shop if the checkout on our page does not work: here

Please paste the whole serial number including the header. Please also verify the product name of the key:

-- COPY LICENSE KEY FROM HERE --
...
-- COPY UNTIL HERE --

Also make sure you have installed the latest version of the product. Please login and download the actual key, if you have changed the email address or other data in the past.

Users that purchased the plugin from a 3rd party distributor can activate the product here.

This is a limitation of the VST3 format.

It's not possible to load the VST3 presets with the plugin itself. VST3 presets are located in standard VST3 presets location and it's up to the host to make them available to the user. You can copy them into following locations:

It's not possible to load the Audio Unit presets with the plugin itself. Audio Unit presets are located in standard AU presets location and it's up to the host to make them available to the user. We also don't have AU presets for all our products available. You can copy them into following locations:
macOS
/library/audio/presets/TAL-Togu Audio Line/TAL U-No-LX-V2/

The plug-in will ask for the serial key when you open the user interface. You can paste the serial key with a single click.

  • In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
  • Type ~/Library/Caches in the "Go to the folder" field.
  • Press the Go button
  • Remove the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" file.
  • Remove the ~/Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache folder

Some hosts send MIDI CC's to plug-ins that support MPE and our older factory presets contain a MIDI mapping for the cutoff. Please use MIDI CLEAR on the top right of the plug-in to delete the mapping or disable MPE in the host application for that channel.
The new factory presets do not contain any mappings anymore. Please delete the presets folder and create a new plug-in instance to create the new factory presets.

Install the new version. Make sure that you overwrite the previous version if you update on windows. All product updates are free. You can check the plug-in version on the plug-in GUI. Make sure that you make a backup of the plugin before you update to be sure that it still works.

You should receive the serial a few minutes after the payment. Please also check your SPAM or Junk folder for the email. Make sure that you have disabled any special mail filters. As an alternative you can login here and download the serial key.

Please login here using your payment email address to download your serial keys.

You will find the configuration files of all our plug-ins in following folders:

Windows:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ToguAudioLine

OSX:
~/Library/Application Support/ToguAudioLine/

You need to re-enter the serial after you have deleted the .xml configuration files.

There is no standalone application available. You need a host application that supports VST, VST3, AU (Audio Unit), CLAP or AAX plug-ins. Examples are: Ableton Live, Cocos Reaper, Logic Pro, Garage Band or Cubase. There are also some free hosts available. Please try to deactivate and reactivate VST / AU plugin settings if the plugin does not show up in Ableton Live. Audio Units maybe need a macOS restart.

Ableton Live:
Please trigger a plugin rescan in the Ableton Live settings while holding down the Alt/Option key.
Cubase:
Delete the VST3 plugin and re-install it again (you can also copy it to the VST3 directory). Please also delete the VST2 version if not required to avoid any conflicts.
Pro Tools:
Most plugins only show up on stereo channels.
Logic X:
Please try to restart macOS. If that does not work, then delete the plugin cache files. Verify the plugin state in the plugin manager.

You can use the plug-in on up to 4 systems at the same time. We track the number of activations and you can view them in your user account. See How does our registration process work for more information.

Most of our plugins are stereo only. The plug-ins may only show up on stereo channels.
